51视频 will host a Junior Appalachian Musicians (JAM) program for local elementary and middle schoolers this spring, teaching them to play, dance and sing traditional old-time and bluegrass music.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn common Appalachian instruments like the guitar, fiddle, bass, mandolin, dulcimer and banjo. After one hour of group musical instruction, all classes will gather for a cultural enrichment experience, highlighting other elements of Appalachian culture, including dance, storytelling and folk art.
